A Slice of Heaven – Best Pizza on the Central Coast

In recent years there has been a bit of a pizza revolution on the Central Coast. From Terrigal to Woy Woy  a number of excellent restaurants and pizzerias have opened up, selling a wide range of exquisite thin crusts, deep pans and classic calzones. Here is our selection of the best pizza that you need to try next time you are visting the Central Coast of NSW.

La Fiamma Pizza

One of the oldest pizzeria’s in town, La Fiamma has been serving up authentic Italian pizza from a setting within the Ettalong Markets since 2007.

Through their wood-burning oven which fires up at 400 degrees they are on a mission to bring ‘real pizza’ to the Central Coast.

Making their sourdough pizzas the traditional way, with time honoured techniques that Napolitan and Sicilian masters have been using for centuries, they use only flour, yeast, salt and water. Rolling it out and shaping it by hand.

Served in a protected courtyard and a dining room with views of the wood-fired oven, their signature pizza, La Fiamma, features mozzarella, parmesan, Italian sausage, salami and baby spinach salad.

After recent refurbishment, Rhonda has transformed itself from an evening entertainment venue into an accomplished seaside Italian restaurant.

Not far from the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific this exciting transformation has taken place under the guidance of executive chef Richard Wagemaker.

Offering classic Roman-style, thin crust pizzas, the dough is handmade with 5 Stagioni wholemeal flour,  which has been perfectly milled by granite grindstones.

Cooked in a two tonne pizza oven, which has been insulated with volcanic rock from Mt Vesuvius, Rhonda offers authentic pizzas Italians would love.

Boasting an open roof seating area, the pizzeria also serves a lovely range of cocktails to accompany your meal.
