A waterfront eatery with a real sense of community spirit, dishes like tempura banana prawn cutlets, whole Szechuan pepper snapper with crunchy chips and coleslaw, and chilli blue simmer crab served Singaporian-style, shine off the menu.

Saddles
Located on a 25-acre property among gum trees that overlook a picturesque dam, Saddles is an idyllic restaurant that offers a lovely dining experience.
Created by its owners Hayley Hardcastle & Cameron Cansdell, the restaurant blends elements of casual and formal dining to create a homestead style setting. Where a traditional sandstone fireplace and piano bar, merge seamlessly with saddle bar stools and a quaint wrap around verandah.
Adopting a rustic approach to food, the menu sports what Hayley describes as being ‘comfort food that feels elevated whilst being accessible enough you can eat it every day’.
Sumptuous delights like BBQ kangaroo loin with baby leeks and ‘san choy bow-style’ king prawns with desert oak spice, only serve to confirm this.

The Bon Pavilion
Boasting 250 seats and seven distinct drinking and dining areas, The Bon Pavilion is undoubtedly the biggest and grandiose venue in Gosforth.
Overseen by renowned chef Sean Connolly, the all-day restaurant falls somewhere between fine dining and gastropub. Showcasing décor that includes a large, feature mural by celebrated artist Lisa King and a wonderful, grandiose sweeping staircase, it has a distinctly New York air about it.
From 6.30am until midnight the food options are exceptional – drawing inspiration from Australia’s modern, multicultural make up. The ‘Bottomless Brunch’ is something to look forward to, while the dinner menu has too many highlights to mention.
